2013 was a fantastic year, with many, many happy memories. The final 9 days of the year saw us photograph 4 weddings, starting with David and Stephanie’s wonderful day at The Vu in Bathgate.
The Vu set in the Bathgate hills and in the middle of Ballencrieff Reservoir with gorgeous views. The weather in the lead-up to the day however, had been quite poor, so we were hoping it would calm down so that we could use the setting to its full.
Guests arrived clutching their umbrella’s as the rain didn’t seem to be calming any. The bridesmaids arrived by limo followed by Stephanie in a beautiful Rolls Royce.
The ceremony took place in the beautiful Water Lily and we remained here for some family groups pictures afterwards as the guests enjoy the champagne reception. We kept half an eye on what was happening with the weather outside – just incase!
Luckily, just as we finished off the group pictures and as the sun was setting, the rain stopped! We knew we didn’t have long – as it turned out we only had a ten minute window, but we were delighted to get to use the wonderful setting for some photographs!
After the speeches and the wedding breakfast, David and Stephanie began their evening reception with their first dance before dancing the night away with family and friends. It was truly a pleasure to be part of their day and I think you’ll agree it will have been a prefect way to wake up on Christmas Eve as husband and wife!!!
Congratulations again to the fabulous Mr & Mrs Grieve!
