It’s been said that good things come in three’s, and that was certainly the case as we captured a trio of weddings in one weekend in mid-July.
Firstly, we joined Craig and Jennifer for their wedding day on Thursday, 18th July. We were with both bride and groom as they prepared for the wedding whilst enjoying some champagne. We then made our way to join the happy couple at St Leonards Church in East Kilbride for their wedding ceremony.
We couldn’t have asked for better weather as we made our way in the July sunshine to the Popinjay for some family pictures, as well as some shots of the newly-married couple. It was then time for the couple to relax, and join family and friends as they enjoyed their wedding meal before dancing the night away!
The following day we were in Glasgow to photograph the wedding of Moira and Jon – and there was a surprise in store! As Moira and her bridesmaids prepared for the big day, one bridesmaid happened to bump into none other than Gerard Butler in the hotel reception. After mentioning about the big day, she asked if he’d pop up to the room to say hello. Half an hour later, there was a knock at the door and, with Moira thinking it was a member of hotel staff, he entered the room! I think it’s fair to say the surprise can be seen on everyone’s face!
But Jon was not to be upstaged, and he and Moira enjoyed a wonderful ceremony in the stunning Oran Mor, before they too enjoyed the beautiful weather in the Botanic Gardens. It’s such a lovely setting for photographs, and we loved being part of Moira and Jon’s Wedding day!
The weather was not to let us down a day later either as Claire and Douglas were married in St Anne’s Church in Coupar Angus before heading to Forbes of Kingennie. We had never shot at the venue previously, so during our look around of the venue in the days leading up to our busy weekend, we were very excited about using the stunning surroundings.
It wasn’t to disappoint and we loved using the venue’s potential, and Claire and Douglas were such a lovely couple to photograph. Their wedding was the perfect way for us to round off a wonderful weekend.
